Online Reading Seminar

The second online reading seminar of the project TeachGenAI (Defining, promoting and assessing critical AI literacy for effective and responsible use of GenAI tools in teaching and learning) will take place on 30 October at 14:00 (Lisbon time / WET). The seminar will focus on a critical discussion of the book “Teaching with AI: A Practical Guide to a New Era of Human Learning” (Johns Hopkins University Press, 2024 — 280 pages).

The aim of the reading seminar is to bring together researchers from different fields for an open and productive discussion of some of the topics addressed by the authors. The seminar will take the form of a dialogic discussion.

Each participant should read the book beforehand and select three sentences or passages that they find particularly interesting or relevant. During the seminar, participants will have the opportunity to share their selected passages and explain why they chose them.

The seminar will be held online via Google Meet. If you are interested in participating, please email the project coordinator at crapanta@fcsh.unl.pt, expressing your interest and requesting access to the PDF of the book.
