The NOVA Institute of Philosophy (IFILNOVA) at NOVA FCSH is inviting qualified Junior candidates to express their interest in fixed-term research positions (3 years) funded by the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT) as part of the 7th edition of the Scientific Employment Stimulus program.

Interested candidates can submit their expression of interest in English or Portuguese (maximum 1,000 words plus CV). This should include a summary of the research project and an explanation of how it fits within one of IFILNOVA’s thematic lines (more details on the thematic lines are available here). If needed, hosting candidates may be confirmed after an online interview with the relevant laboratory coordinator.

The FCT call is open until November 29 at 5 PM Lisbon Time. Candidates must hold a PhD (obtained within the last 5 years) and have limited post-doctoral research experience in their field. Applications must be submitted online directly to FCT, with support from the host institution.

If you would like IFILNOVA to host your application, please send your expression of interest to ifilnova@fcsh.unl.pt, specifying the laboratory where you wish to conduct your research. Make sure to include “Junior 2024” in the subject line of your email. The deadline for receiving expressions of interest is October 31, 2024.

In this edition, IFILNOVA will only accept applications from researchers who obtained their PhD within the last 5 years. Applications for the Assistant position will not be considered.
