Maria José Vaz Pinto, uma Homenagem

IFILNOVA heartily invites everyone to a posthumous tribute to Professor Maria José Vaz Pinto (1938–2023).

As former students, researchers Paulo Lima (IFILNOVA) and Hélder Telo (Universidade da Beira Interior) will give two presentations entitled, respectively, “A verdade no mito de Protágoras sobre as origens da comunidade humana” and “A importância da φιλία na filosofia antiga”. This will be followed by testimonies from Professors Nuno Venturinha (Head of the Department of Philosophy), André Barata (President of the Portuguese Society of Philosophy), Fernanda Henriques, Maria Filomena Molder, Irene Borges Duarte, Maria Luísa Ribeiro Ferreira, António Marques, Leonel Ribeiro dos Santos, Manuel Carmo Ferreira, and Lourenço Vaz Pinto, son of the honoree.
