Mary B. Hesse e o conhecimento científico

On 11 November, 2024, IFILNOVA member Pietro Gori will engage in a discussion with María de Paz (University of Seville) and Silvia di Marco (CFCUL) about the volume he edited, which gathers Portuguese translations of essays on scientific knowledge by the British philosopher of science Mary B. Hesse (ed. Colibri, 2024). The volume is among the outcomes of the research project “Mary B. Hesse’s ‘new epistemology’. Principles and legacy” that has been developed between 2022 and 2023 at IFILNOVA (EXPL/FER-FIL/0276/2021).

The meeting will be conducted in Portuguese and will take place at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon, room 6.2.44, starting at 4 PM.
