PPE Graduate Reading Group
Organised by PhD students associated with IFILNOVA, the PPE (Philosophy, Politics, and Economics) Graduate reading Group aims to explore the discipline of PPE and to foster dialogue between philosophers and social scientists in Portugal. PPE constitutes an interdisciplinary but unified approach to the study of social life and human interactions. Starting from an holistic perspective, PPE looks to bring the rigor of the methods of the social sciences to debates over normative questions, and the conceptual and argumentative dexterity of philosophy to the study of social phenomena.
The reading group is open to all interested parties, but it is mainly directed at PhD students and early-career researchers in Philosophy, Political Science, International Relations, and Economics working in Portugal.
The reading group will gather on the third Thursday of every month, at 16h30.
If you are interested in joining the reading group, contact José M. Pereira j.m.br.m.pereira@gmail.com or Inês Pinheiro ines.pinheiro@campus.fcsh.unl.pt.
