On 25 September, at 7 PM, the launch of the book Três Discursos sobre Eros: Meditação sobre o Fedro de Platão, by Professor João Constâncio (IFILNOVA/NOVA FCSH), will take place at Livraria da Travessa, in Lisbon. The event will include a presentation by Professor Abel Barros Baptista (IELT/NOVA FCSH). All are welcome.

Três Discursos sobre Eros invites us to think of Platonic eros as a surprisingly modern experience of subjectivization and authenticity — but, at the same time, as an experience of beauty and truth that we must question whether it is not irretrievably lost to us. The work forms part of the Ensaio Aberto series, published by Tinta-da-China in partnership with IFILNOVA and PUC-Rio, and is available in open access at the IFILNOVA Digital Library.
