The Jacinto do Prado Coelho Essay Prize, from the Portuguese Association of Literary Critics, was awarded to the book O Absoluto que Pertence à Terra, by Maria Filomena Molder. The prize, with a cash value of 4 thousand euros, is related to works published last year. In a statement, the association declares that “the jury sought to distinguish one of the most extraordinary names in our essayism, which in this book continues a passionate exercise in philosophical inquiry in a permanent dialogue with poetry, reflecting on the limits of thought and language, in multiple directions, like a fugue in the musical sense”.
