Carla Magro Dias is a PhD candidate in the Art Studies, Art and Mediation at NOVA University Lisbon. Her doctoral thesis, entitled ‘Artistic Practices in the Alentejo in the 21st Century. Histories and Policies’ is supervised by Professor Maria Irene Aparício and funded by an FCT doctoral research grant. She has a degree in History, specialising in Archaeology, from the University of Coimbra, and attended a postgraduate course in Medieval History and Archaeology at the NOVA University Lisbon. She has worked in several public and private organisations in the field of heritage, education and culture, as an archaeologist, museum scientific support technician and, more recently, as a cultural producer and programmer for film, music and public art festivals. Her interests include art, culture, cultural policy and communication.
