Chrysi Rapanta
Appointed Research Fellow

Chrysi Rapanta is a Senior Research at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of the Universidade NOVA de Lisboa. She has a Phd in Communication sciences (Switzerland, 2011) and 10 years of experience in teaching and investigating dialogical and argumentative practices in the classroom. Her book “Argumentation strategies in the classroom” (Vernon Press, 2019) is her most important pedagogical manual. She has also published in major impact peer-reviewed journals such as: Review of Educational Research, British Journal of Educational Technologies, and International Journal of Educational Research. She is the local coordinator of three European projects, in the fields of Education and Communication. These are: (a) DIALLS: Dialogue and Argumentation for Cultural Literacy Learning in Schools (Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme); (b) A-PLACE: Linking places through networked artistic practices (Creative Europe Programme); and (c) Let’s take care of the planet! (Active Citizens EU Programme).
