José M. Pereira is a PhD student in Moral and Political Philosophy at School of Social Sciences and Humanities, NOVA University Lisbon. He is currently working on his PhD thesis entitled “Controlling the Economy: Moral Reasons for a Socialist Ideal”, a project supervised by Professor André Santos Campos and funded by a FCT scholarship. He holds an MPhil in Political Philosophy from the same university and an MSc in Biotechnology from Wageningen University & Research. His research interests include economic justice, theories of social equality, and metaphilosophy.
