The work O que é a Filosofia? by António de Castro Caeiro (2023, Tinta-da-China) has just won the Philosophy Essay Prize from Sociedade Portuguesa de Filosofia (Portuguese Society of Philosophy). The jury, composed of Adriana Veríssimo Serrão, Alexandra Abranches, José Meirinhos, Luísa Couto Soares, Olivier Feron, and Pedro Galvão, and presided over by André Barata, considered it “a brilliant work that introduces the reader to the core of the questions that make up the timeless inventory of philosophical problems.” More information available in Portuguese.
