Maquiavel e Espinosa: Reflexões e Desafios

The 1st Colóquio Luso-Brasileiro de Filosofia Moderna [Luso-Brazilian Colloquium on Modern Philosophy] is organized jointly by the NOVA Institute of Philosophy and the Department of Philosophy of the University of São Paulo. In this 2024 edition, the focus will be on Machiavelli and Spinoza, following the recent translations of Spinoza’s “Ética” [“Ethics”], in Brazil, by Diogo Pires Aurélio, and Machiavelli’s “Discursos sobre a Primeira Década de Tito Lívio” [“Discourses on the First Decade of Livy”], in Portugal , by André Santos Campos and Giovanni Damele.
