Future Aesthetics. Thinking Arts in the Anthropocene

This course, open to Master’s students, investigates the central issues of contemporary aesthetics, such as the nature and value of art, artistic meaning, aesthetic experience, interpretation and aesthetic judgment, among others. Structured as a laboratory, it is intended that students reflect, develop, create and, if possible, present their work and hypotheses about contemporaneity. The lecturer in charge, researcher Giovanbattista Tusa, has worked on radical politics, cinema, ecocriticism, ontological realism and animal studies. More information about the UC here.

Themes of Philosophy of Language

This course, open to undergraduate (6 ECTS) and Master’s (10 ECTS) students, will focus on the conception of language  in Wittgenstein’s Philosophical Investigations. Starting from this work, whose style is as interesting as it is challenging, it is intended that students acquire skills of interpretation and analysis with which they can take their own positions. The course, taught by researcher Florian Franken Figueiredo, will be in English.
