Latin Translation Seminar (Seneca)

Prof. António de Castro Caeiro

Reading, translation, and commentary on some of Seneca’s letters, where issues of Greek philosophy are discussed, and translations of termini technici into Latin are proposed.


We begin with letter 106 (Sen. Ep. 106), which deals with the Stoic concept of the corporeal nature of the good, using terms like soma (body) and asomaton (incorporeal).
