On 10 and 12 December, NOVA FCSH will host the first edition of the Independent Book Fair. Bringing together 33 independent publishers, the fair will run from 10:00 to 20:00 in Tower B of the Avenida de Berna Campus (floors 0 to 3).

The programme for the first day includes a staged reading and the talk “Antígona: novas vozes para um clássico”, the result of a series of working sessions between a group of Faculty students, Colectivo SUL and Professor João Constâncio (IFILNOVA). The presentation — based on the reading of excerpts from Antigone in João Constâncio’s translation — will be followed by a discussion on Colectivo SUL’s artistic residency at NOVA FCSH in 2025/2026. The session will take place on 10 December, from 17:30 to 18:30, in Auditorium B1 [Tower B, Floor 1] at NOVA FCSH.

The NOVA FCSH Independent Book Fair is open to the entire academic community and the general public. Its programme includes poetic performances, concerts and a debate on the future of the social sciences.
