SUBMISSIONS
We invite proposals for presentations on any subject related to film, media and philosophy. There is no overall theme for the conference. Proposals should be submitted to filmphilosophy2024@gmail.com with the subject FP Conference 2024.
Scholars, both established and emerging, are invited to submit proposals for the conference. These will generally take the form of individual papers — but we are open to video essays and panel proposals (panels will consist of three speakers offering traditional, i.e. 20-minute, papers; or four people if speakers are willing to speak for only 15 minutes). We are also amenable to proposals for workshops and roundtables with multiple speakers if you wish to put one together. Please contact the conference director before submitting panel or workshop proposals. Abstract proposals should be 200-300 words and are to be submitted by 28 February 2024. All abstracts will be considered by at least two members of the conference committee and decisions will be announced in March 2024.
Please direct all enquiries regarding the conference to Will Brown at: will.brown@ubc.ca placing FP Conference 2024 in the subject line.
