João Constâncio, Full Professor in the Philosophy Department at NOVA University Lisbon and Director of IFILNOVA, was interviewed by the newspaper Público to discuss his philosophical essay Três Discursos sobre Eros: Meditação sobre o Fedro de Platão, which the same newspaper considered one of the best books of 2025. Published in 2025 by Tinta-da-China, in partnership with IFILNOVA and PUC-Rio, the new title in the Ensaio Aberto series offers an in-depth rereading of Plato’s Phaedrus, exploring how eros — being in love — can be understood not only as madness, but also as an experience of beauty and truth.
