André Silva Santos

André Silva Santos is a PhD candidate in Artistic Studies – Art and Mediations at the School of Social Sciences and Humanities of the NOVA University Lisbon (NOVA FCSH), where he graduated in Communication Sciences (Cinema) and earned his Master’s degree in Aesthetics and Artistic Studies (Cinema and Photography). At NOVA FCSH, he worked as a research assistant on the “BlackBox – Arts & Cognition” project. He also completed a Postgraduate degree in Cinema (Dramaturgy and Directing) at the Lisbon Theatre and Film School (ESTC-IPL). In the field of cinema, he has worked as an assistant director and script supervisor on films presented at festivals such as Cannes, Berlin, Locarno, Rotterdam, San Sebastían, Toronto, Vienna, Rio de Janeiro, London, Gijón, Buenos Aires, among many others. His PhD project is titled “Cinema and meteorological attention: the case of the wind”.
