Diogo Nóbrega is a research fellow at the Research Centre for Science and Technology of the Arts (CITAR) and an associate researcher at the NOVA Institute of Philosophy (IFILNOVA). As a doctoral fellow of the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), he completed his PhD at NOVA University Lisbon in 2023 with the thesis “Figure: The Politics and Ontology of Movement in Deleuze’s Thought”, awarded the highest distinction.

Between 2017 and 2020, he was a visiting researcher at the Scuola Normale Superiore, Pisa, under the supervision of the philosopher Roberto Esposito. His research pursues an interdisciplinary engagement between Cinema, Philosophy and Political Theory. He has presented his work at international conferences and published in leading academic journals, including Aniki, Diacrítica, Vorágine, Scenari and Les lettres romanes. He is the author of the book Deleuze e a Perversão Democrática (Figura I) [Deleuze and Democratic Perversion (Figure I)], published in the Linhas de Fuga series by Sistema Solar – Documenta (2025).
