Appointed Research Fellow

I trained as a philosopher at the University of Bristol, UK. I spent the first few years out of my PhD teaching philosophy full-time, also at Bristol, before taking up a short-term research post at the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil. My philosophical interests are quite broad, and my published work spans a subset of the topics I am or have been interested in, such as the interpretation and role of aesthetic values in scientific and philosophical theorising, whether paradoxes really deserve as much attention as they have historically received, and whether expressions of science denial and scepticism – such as vaccine hesitancy – generate new, distinctively epistemic obligations in those who witness their assertion.
