Laura Correia Minervini is a PhD candidate in Art Studies — Art and Mediations under the supervision of Patrícia Castello Branco. She studied philosophy, literature, and linguistics at the Università La Sapienza in Rome and the Georg-August-Universität in Göttingen. Thanks to the rich cinematographic ground of Berlin, where she has lived since 2010, she has dedicated herself to film, particularly to dialogue between cinema, philosophy and literature. She is currently researching hands and cinema, questioning the hegemony of the gaze, as well as the dualisms eye-hand, subject-object, author-spectator, aiming for a haptic, perspectivist and profoundly feminine thought.
