Maria Joana Vilela is an Assistant Professor at IADE, specializing in Aesthetics, Visual Culture, and the Philosophy of Language. She is also a researcher and art curator, holding both a PhD and a Master’s degree in Philosophy from NOVA University Lisbon. Her research explores the relationship between art and the limits of the world, focusing on the epistemological dimension and the nature of knowledge and creation. She writes and publishes regularly in academic journals and artist catalogues.
