Natacha Gallucci is Professor of Philosophy at the Institute of Human Sciences, Communication and Art (ICHCA) at the Federal University of Alagoas (UFAL), and a permanent professor in the Postgraduate Programme in Philosophy (PPGFil/UFAL), in the research line Subjectivity and Society. She leads the Filomove Research Group — Philosophy, Arts and Aesthetics of Latin America (CNPq/ICHCA/UFAL) and also teaches in the Postgraduate Programme in Letters and Linguistics (PPGLL/UFAL), within Literary Studies, in the research line Literature: Poetics, Culture and Memory (Dissenso research group). She is a collaborating professor in the Postgraduate Programme in Arts (PPGArtes/ICA) at the Federal University of Ceará (UFC) and teaches in the PROFARTES/CAPES programme at the Regional University of Cariri (URCA).
She holds a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Campinas (IFCH/UNICAMP, 2008), completed under a cotutelle agreement with the Universitat de les Illes Balears (UIB), Spain, and is also a PhD in Multimedia from the Institute of Arts at UNICAMP (2014). She obtained her MA in Philosophy from IFCH/UNICAMP (2003) and undertook postdoctoral research in Arts at the Postgraduate Programme in Arts (PPGArtes/ICA) at UFC. She is a recipient of DES/CNPq and European Research Council (ERC) grants, as part of the international collaboration project FILM AND DEATH — Film-Philosophy as a Meditation on Death, led by Professor Susana Viegas at the Institute of Philosophy of NOVA University Lisbon (IFILNOVA/NOVA FCSH).
Her awards include the Aldir Blanc Law grants (2020, 2025), the Paulo Gustavo Law award (2024), the FUNARTE award (2020) and the CIDDIC/OSUUNICAMP award (2014). She also works as a stage director, choreographer and vocal performer. She holds an International Certificate in Afro-Latin American Studies from ALARI/Harvard University (USA). She graduated in Philosophy and completed a specialisation in Pedagogy at the Universidad Nacional de Rosario (UNR), Argentina (2000), and holds a degree in Dance from the Escola Nacional de Danças Nigélia Sória, Rosario. She is a member of the International Council for Traditions of Music and Dance (ICTMD), the NEVIDA Centre at the Federal University of Goiás (UFG), SOCINE (the Brazilian Society for Cinema and Audiovisual Studies), ANDA (the National Association of Dance Researchers), and the EF at TORO School of Psychoanalysis in Maceió.
