Cinema e Filosofia. Encontros e Reflexões
In recent decades, cinema has established itself as a fertile field for philosophical reflection, allowing for a deep exploration of concepts and ideas through its unique language, in a dialogue that offers various encounters and perspectives.
The essays in this work cover topics ranging from ecology and non-human sensory experience, through the virtual and dreamlike dimension of cinema, to the analysis of representation and reality in moving images. Each text seeks to problematize and understand cinema not just as an art form, but as a medium of thought.
Various researchers who develop their work at CineLab, a pioneering space for philosophical reflection on cinema and philosophy, based at the Institute of Philosophy of the NOVA University Lisbon, contributed to this collection.
