John Broome

Professor John Broome is White’s Professor of Moral Philosophy of Corpus Christi College, Oxford University. His main interests are Ethics, Political e Moral Issues Related to Climate Change, Rationality and Normativity. He is Master in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Cambridge, UK; PhD in Economics from MIT, USA; and Master of Philosophy from the University of London, UK. Before becoming professor at Oxford, he taught at the Universities of Bristol, St. Andrews and London. He has been Visiting Professor, among others places, at the North American Universities of Virginia, Washington and Princeton, at the Australian National University, at the Swedish Collegium for Advanced Study, and at the University of Canterbury. He is an elected member of the Royal Society of Edinburgh, the British Academy and the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences.
