Lisbon Epistemic Injustice Reading Group
The Argumentation, Language and Cognition Lab (ArgLab) of the NOVA Institute of Philosophy (IFILNOVA) is happy to announce the second session of the Lisbon Epistemic Injustice Reading Group. In this session, which will take place on May 22, 2023, the group will continue discussing the first four essays of The Routledge Handbook of Epistemic Injustice (2017 – Eds. I. J. Kidd, J. Medina, & G. Pohlhaus, Jr). The group suggests reading the first chapter of Miranda Fricker’s book Epistemic Injustice (2007) and the paper by Kristie Dotson, Conceptualizing Epistemic Oppression (2014). The group won’t be discussing this material directly, but reading it might help to foster more discussion and have a clearer focus on some of the topics and themes that pertain to the chapters in the Routledge Handbook.
The Lisbon Epistemic Injustice Reading Group is co-organized by Federico Cella, Guido Tana, and Dima Mohammed.
