Amalia Haro Marchal is a postdoctoral researcher at NOVA University Lisbon within the framework of the MultiPoD Project (Multilingual and Multicultural Spaces for Political Deliberation), funded by the European Union through the Horizon Europe research and innovation programme.
In January 2025 she obtained a double doctoral degree from the University of Granada (Spain) and the University of Groningen (Netherlands). Her research focuses on the study of argumentation from a pragmatic and normative perspective, particularly on the characterization of argumentation as a speech act.
Currently, she investigates the relationship between the norms of argumentation and certain forms of communicative injustices, as well as the role of non-neutral approaches to argumentation in the study of fallacies.
