Fábio Serranito
Research Fellow

Fábio Serranito finished his PhD in 2015, with a dissertation on the concepts of madness and lucidity in Plato’s Phaedrus. Specializing in ancient philosophy, he develops his research work mainly in ethics and philosophical anthropology, focusing on topics like care, love, ways of life and the interaction between philosophy and other literary genres such as tragedy and epic and lyric poetry, as well as ancient intellectual disciplines like rhetoric and sophistry. A member of IFILNOVA and IEF (University of Coimbra), he is currently teaching at the University of Leeds, in the United Kingdom.
