Inês Pinheiro is a PhD student in Philosophy, specializing in Moral and Political Philosophy, at the School of Social Sciences and Humanities of NOVA University Lisbon (NOVA FCSH). She graduated in Political Science and International Relations on June 2022 by the same university, where she is also finishing her Master’s degree in Philosophy, specialization in Political Philosophy. The master’s research project she is concluding is entitled “Hope and Nostalgia in the Philosophical-Political Thought of Judith Shklar”, for which she received a research grant given by IFILNOVA. Her PhD project is named “A ‘Shklarian’ approach for the Construction of a Realistic Liberalism with Social Roots”, for which she received a research grant attributed by FCT (ref.: 2024.05798.BD). Her research interests are centred around political thought, in its philosophical, normative and historical dimensions, mainly in modern and contemporary philosophy. She dedicates, in particular, to the realist and liberal streams of thought, with emphasis on the ideas and influences of the political theorist Judith Nisse Shklar (1928-1992).
