Lucas Ferraço Nassif

Lucas Ferraço Nassif holds a Ph.D. in Literature from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro. He is a researcher at the Cinema and Philosophy Laboratory, part of the NOVA Institute of Philosophy, and a member of the Portuguese Center of Psychoanalysis. He is also the director and editor of the films Reinforced Concrete, Being Boring, and Unfamiliar Ceiling/The Beast; as well as the author of Missing Links, published by Barakunan, and awarded the Best Monograph of 2023 by the Association of Moving Image Researchers [AIM] in Portugal. In 2025, his book Unconscious/Television was published by Becoming Press. Lucas Ferraço Nassif’s research takes place at the intersection of psychoanalysis and schizoanalysis, employing a clinical approach to the unconscious that explores the entanglement of art and the production of thought.
