PhilDoc is an experimental website about the agency of form in documentary, and the complex interrelations between reality and its representation/reproduction/subversion through audiovisual material. It brings together philosophical thinking, critical theory, moving and still images and diverse constellations.

This website is a part of the research project “Philosophy and Documentary Film. Mediating the Real” funded by FCT, The Foundation for Science and Technology, under the project EXPL/FER-FIL/0045/2021. It is conducted by researchers of the working group “Thinking Documentary Film” at CineLab/NOVA Institute of Philosophy (IFILNOVA) – NOVA FCSH.
