NOVA FCSH is one of the institutions participating in the new Erasmus+ Project Active and Responsible Citizenship Through Dialogue in Virtual Teacher Commmunities (Act-Di-V). The project aims to support teachers in promoting active and responsible citizenship in schools, strengthening students’ abilities to cooperate and participate in argumentative debates relevant to their communities. To achieve this, the project will enhance the pedagogical materials available to teachers and create opportunities for engagement in virtual dialogue communities.
The responsible consortium consists of teams from four partner institutions: the University of Nicosia (Cyprus), which acts as the project organizer, the NOVA University Lisbon (Portugal), the Centro Sviluppo Creativo Danilo Dolci (Italy), and the Humboldt University (Germany). Each team is in charge of coordinating the work related to one of the four Working Packages (WP). The NOVA University Lisbon is coordinating WP2, which will conclude with the production of a toolkit on active and responsible citizenship.
Chrysi Rapanta, a researcher at IFILNOVA, is responsible for the work carried out by the Portuguese team. To accomplish this, she has the support of a group of academics and specialized teachers in education and pedagogy, with experience in teaching citizenship in Portugal.
