The main goal of the research project “On Memory, Portuguese Cinema and Post-Historical Time” is to accomplish at least two different tasks; first and foremost, we aim to conceptualize, understand and systematize philosophical aspects of memory’s (re)presentation in Contemporary Portuguese Cinema, namely after the Second World War, and by the end of the 20th Century. Secondly, we intend to map the cultural and political dimensions of cinema, either as an artistic practice or popular culture, which address the impact of human values and behavior.
