Paulo Alcobia is a PhD candidate in Philosophy at the School of Social Sciences and Humanities at NOVA University Lisbon. He has a degree in Psychology (ISPA) and a Masters in Social and Organizational Psychology (ISCTE). He was a lecturer at ISCTE and is currently developing the doctoral project “Machines sentience: Artificial intelligence – the origin of a new species?”
